Viva la Vida

Champions! Torres's new haircut very nice..... *swoon*

Celebrating the goal.

Spain were crowned champions of Europe, beating Germany 1-0 in Vienna. Fernando Torres the scorer on 33rd minute. Spain were finally able to shrug off the tag that has pegged them as underachiever when it comes to major tournaments by claiming their second European Championship, the first since 1964. Its been 44 years and I think they totally deserved it. Well done Espana! The shortest and most expensive team rules Europe. Wow.

Plus, Cesc Fabregas played. And what club he play for? Arsenal baby! Got Man Utd player in the team? Don't have! Got Chelsea player? Don't have! But on the losing team got. Hah! Only Liverpool got skills.

Condolences to all Germany fans. They had a good tourney though. I just happen to like both teams so I'm not so sad. Haha. I honestly think they weren't at their best on the night. Maybe nerves got the best of them. Still worthy finalists I say. Better luck next time.....

Just a random thing I noticed, in the last major tourney(2006 World Cup), Germany got 3rd. The next tourney(this one), they got 2nd. So does that mean they'll win the World Cup in 2010? Hmm....gets you thinking no?
